Harry Styles breaks out with his inclusive beauty brand Pleasing
Harry Styles announced that he is releasing a gender-neutral beauty brand, Pleasing, that is now available to pre-order.
As of right now, Pleasing sells nail polish and a few skincare products with a price tag ranging from $20 to $75.
In a press release, Styles said, “When we decided Pleasing would make beauty products, I wanted to be sure they were something I would use. I didn’t want to make products to mask people. I wanted to highlight them and make them feel beautiful.”
It comes as no surprise that one of the brand’s first products is nail polish. Since Style’s solo career, his fans have noticed the star’s ever-changing nail colors and even mimic his looks themselves.
Pleasing has four nail polishes that are plant-based. In addition to the polishes, the brand also features two skincare items: a pleasing pen (dual rollerball lip and eye serum) and a pearlescent illuminating serum (for the face).
The brand is all about inclusivity for all genders and feeling your best, but Styles isn’t the only male artist to launch a brand with nail polishes. Other stars like Machine Gun Kelly and Lil Yachty are among the others who also have their nail polishes.
Pleasing is a brand that shows Styles’s influence on this generation with his ever-changing personal style and star-studded status, building on the work of the stars before him, from Billy Porter to Young Thug to ASAP Rocky to David Bowie, who famously strived to crush the stereotypical mold for masculinity.
In a Dazed interview, Styles said that he hopes his fans enjoy the line as much as he does. “I am blessed to have fans who are so supportive of me, who believe in freedom and who have created this safe space for each other. Pleasing is really for them.”
