This week with Guests and Gusto: Meet fashion’s art darling Ashley Longshore
Ashley Longshore is a globally-known mixed-media artist who “has been dubbed the feminist Andy Warhol for her obsession with pop culture figures and brands as well as her relationships with celebrities and billionaire entrepreneurs”, according to SCAD’s article.
Students can tune into this event and listen to her advice and wisdom she plans on sharing. “I’m brave enough to be who I am in a society where there’s a lot of pressure to be perfect,” Longshore says. “I can only be me, and I encourage YOU to be YOU.”
Longshore has worked with many popular clients and collectors, such as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Salma Hayek Pinault, Penélope Cruz, Christian Siriano, and celebrity stylists June Ambrose and Jenke Ahmed Tailly, who counts Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian as clients.
