- The annual SCAD TV Fest is next weekend, February 9th through 11th. Tickets and passes are on sale now. SCAD students & alumni get passes for free, but they’re selling fast!
- Career Fair registration opened Tuesday. If you managed to secure yourself a timeslot, consider yourself lucky. The vast majority of available timeslots were snatched up in seconds! Career Fair will be held virtually on February 24th.

- Atlanta is in the running to host the 2024 Democratic National Convention, along with New York and Chicago.
- Governor Brian Kempf declared a state of emergency over “Cop City” protests, deploying 1,000 state National Guard troops to active duty. Six people were arrested on January 21 after a demonstration escalated, and are facing counts of domestic terrorism.
- Police rescued a man who stole and crashed a police car onto a railroad from an oncoming train.
- A scenic, outdoor “Pop-Up” dining experience is coming to Piedmont Park on March 2.
- The Krog Street Market, the historic food hall in Inman park, is being revamped as part of an indoor and outdoor multi-use complex called the “Krog District.”
