Ester Kim, a 22-year-old former fashion design student, was involved in a car accident around 6:40 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 25 in Hiram, GA. Kim’s sister, Sophie Hyeri Kim, said she was killed upon impact while driving home.
A viewing will be held for Kim tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Lee’s Funeral Home in Decatur. Kim’s funeral will begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. inside Lee’s Funeral Home. A burial is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. tomorrow at North Atlanta Memorial Park & Mausoleum. The Kim family asks anyone wishing to attend the funeral bring a flower or letter to place on Kim’s coffin. Additionally, friend and SCAD Atlanta student RJ Thompson is planning a memorial service at the university. Thompson said the exact location is still in the works but the memorial will be held this Friday, March 4 from 8 – 10 p.m. For more information or to RSVP, click here.
