Reclamation [ ˌ r ɛ klə ˈ me ɪʃ ən]
n
1. the recovery of useful substances from waste products
2. the act of reclaiming or state of being reclaimed
“Reclamation” is a photo documentary of a metamorphosis and rebirth project that is an opportunity of circumstance. It is an opportunity to work with an artist whose life journey is similar to mine and whose work is steeped in the very place I grew up loving.
My intention is to show objects move from scrap to art. While the materials may have lost their value and purpose in one role, appreciation, and maybe even love, is found in their new role.
Correction, May 19: This document has been revised to correct the misspelling of photographer H. E. Huggins name. It was incorrectly spelled Higgins in the photo caption.
