‘Shack-ademics’: Shake Shack offers BOGO burgers for students

For burger-loving students at SCAD and other Atlanta-area schools, Monday just became the best day of the week.

Every Monday between Sept. 14 and Dec. 21 is “Burger Study Buddy Monday” at Shake Shack in Buckhead, which is just a quick trip up Peachtree from SCAD Atlanta’s main campus. Buy a burger during the promotion and you and a friend will receive a second one free — all you need to do is show your college (or high school) ID, and voila: two burgers for the price of one! Just keep in mind that both you and your study buddy must be present when you place your order.

For the unfamiliar, Shake Shack is a hip, fast-casual burger chain that is well-known for putting a gourmet twist on classic fast-food staples, such as their all-natural, freshly ground burgers, crinkle-cut fries, flat-top hot dogs, frozen custards and, of course, their hand-spun milkshakes. If you’re not a meat eater, no problem: Shake Shack’s ‘Shroom Burger is just like the real deal, only with a whole, roasted portobello mushroom subbing in for the ShackBurger’s Angus beef.

Whether you and a classmate want to put your heads together over bacon burgers, meet up for a feast with your entire class, or just reward all of your hard work by inducing a non-schoolwork-related food coma, Burger Study Buddy Monday is a day to remember.
