The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took over CBS Tuesday night in the U.S. and across the world. From performances by The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez to first-time Victoria’s Secret catwalkers Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, the show was star-studded as usual. One trending topic during the night was Selena Gomez’s “new eyes,” which brought extra attention to the singer, which she says were worn to channel her inner VS supermodel Adriana Lima. Another show stopper was Angolan model Maria Borges who turned the long-haired bombshell norm on its boring head and wore her natural afro down the runway. Lastly, every year one top model is picked to wear the “Fantasy Bra,” a bra that was worth at least 2 million dollars this year and covered in an assortment of pricey gemstones, including diamonds. This year long-time VS model Lily Aldridge was picked to wear the famed bra.
First year fashion design student Aspen Dressler watched the show Tuesday night and said, “I loved it, especially the super sparkly costumes!” She went on to say that she appreciated the ornate wings, including one of the looks that featured a pair of spinning wings.
