On Friday, April 29 at 2 p.m.,the Sanskriti Club will host a Holi party at SCAD Way. Holi is a two-day festival, also known as the festival of colors. The festival celebrates love and renewal .
Dikssha Dinesh, a sophomore in graphic design and president of the Sanskriti Club says, “Holi is the festival of spring and fun, we welcome in warm weather and good times with bright colors and good music.”
As a way to welcome spring and celebrate the end of midterms, SAC and the Sanskriti Club, who is in the midst of changing their name, will host the Indian Festival of Colors.
According to Dinesh Dinesh, “The Sanskriti Indian Cultural Club aims to create a sense of community by bringing cultural events to SCAD Atlanta”
There will be music and colored powder for people to throw in celebration of Holi. Everyone in attendance is encouraged to wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty since the festive colors will be everywhere. Attendees should also come early because color may run out fast.
