The closure on Interstate 85 at Piedmont Road continues to impact travel across the northern metropolitan Atlanta area. Both northbound and southbound directions of Interstate 85 at Piedmont Road are closed. State and federal officials are reporting that repair and recovery efforts will impact transportation in this area indefinitely.
SCAD Atlanta will continue all campus operations as scheduled. The spring faculty conference remains scheduled for 4 p.m. today, and classes, dining and transportation will not be impacted. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to plan alternate transportation routes to all SCAD Atlanta facilities accordingly as this area will experience commuter challenges for several months.
Those traveling from the northeastern area of the city are encouraged to use MARTA train services to Arts Center Station, then take the shuttle to SCAD.
