My poem to Hong Kong: ‘Poetry in Motion’
by :
Rebecca Williams
As I walk through the streets,
I see familiarity and unfamiliarity.
I see the faces of school children
And old women alike.
I see the laughter, the rush
And sometimes the silence.
I don’t see myself at all.
I see the things around me
And I all I hope to do is learn.
Learn about a land I don’t know.
Learn about the people I have no relation to.
All I can hope is that I learn.
