My name is Amanda, but most people know me as Mandie. I am a writing major here at SCAD, who knows a tad bit about photography. Why am I not a photography major, you may ask? The world may never know.

In my spare time, I captured moments I didn’t want to let go. I wanted to have all these “perfect moment” pictures and when you’re a photographer, all that matters is capturing the moment. When it’s captured, it’s one of the most satisfying feelings in the whole world.

The perfect moment isn’t about staging, it’s about presence. To me, I try to capture the presence and the beauty of nature. I love how nature portrays innocence, and that’s the moment I want to capture. To capture and share the essence of a moment is a gift.
