After a long-ish creative break, there are moments of sloth and neglect that stop us from reaching our creative peaks. Here are some of the ways our students are getting back on track.

Give it Time

“Having new classes with new professors and new schedules can be very unpredictable but after a couple of weeks of getting to know your professors and the workload of your classes, it’s easy to settle back into a routine,” said Kaitlyn Hubbard, a third-year film and television student.

Optimism

Amanda Glover, a third-year writing student said “I got back into the swing of the winter quarter by thinking of how these new classes would benefit me and my writing.”

Routine

Tulika Kapoor, a graduate creative business leadership student said, “I think I’ve slid right back into a routine. I’ve got to keep everything organized and in check, otherwise, everything would be a mess.”

Preparedness

Jesse Baron, a third-year writing student confessed, “I downloaded and read (almost) everything for class before the quarter started, so I wouldn’t get lazy and just sleep all day.”
