The Savannah College of Art and Design is taking all the necessary precautions in order to be vigilant about the health and safety of the SCAD community. Following the steps set by the United States State Department and Center for Disease and Control and Prevention, the university has put self-quarantine policies in place for the students returning to campus from any of the CDC Level 1, 2, or 3 countries, in addition to the countries that are labeled “at-risk.”

SCAD has advised all students to steer clear from international travel during the remainder of the academic year. The college is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) and continues to remain in regular contact with health officials both locally and nationally.

New students arriving internationally to any of the regular SCAD campus locations — Atlanta and Savannah — from any of the affected countries must complete their 14-day self quarantine prior to arriving at SCAD for the start of their spring quarter.

If a student or their family member has contracted the coronavirus, they may contact:

Luke Buckovich
Dean of Students at SCAD Atlanta
dosatl@scad.edu

or

David Blake
Dean of Students at SCAD Savannah
deanofstudents@scad.edu

Furthermore, if students are in need of support, counseling and student support services are available at 404.253.3210 from 8:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Mondays, or 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays.
