Before singers Rosalía and Dua Lipa, nail art was simple and uninteresting. We have all progressed from vibrant colors to having a different color on the index finger. And we cannot forget the era of crackle nail polish!
But it’s not about that anymore, just like shoes and jewelry you can add nail art to the cool list of accessories to invest on monthly.
There are various levels to nail art, those with delicate drawings like the evil eye or yellow happy faces to incorporating geometric shapes to have the chance to play with color combinations.
The second category includes the really wild and unique nail designs that have difficult patterns or embellishments hanging off of them.
And you may have seen one of the pioneer of nail art, always on point with Rosalía showing them off on her Instagram posts and music videos such as ‘Aute Cuture’.
It has been one of Rosalía’s signature styles, be sure to watch out for them in every music video. She’s unrecognizable without them.
Dua Lipa is another celebrity that doesn’t miss a beat with her nails. One of Lipa’s most memorable nail art style was in the 2020 Met Gala in which she had most of the nails covered in tiny bling embellishments.
I have yet to make my own nail art decisions, but it has to be quick before it becomes ugly again!
