Looking to build your photography portfolio at SCAD? Here’s how:
Wanting to begin your journey in photography can be a very nerve-racking process. Looking for cameras, trying to find jobs with a portfolio built on images of grass or grandma’s cookout, and trying to understand what in the world camera settings are. Of course, these things represent just the basic foundation of what fears you may face as an amateur photographer, but as we should know by now, SCAD has its students covered.
Even if you don’t own a camera, don’t have a lens, and or don’t even have a backdrop, SCAD offers a photography bay that allows you to put your skills to the test or learn the basics with those who’ve somewhat or already mastered using the world’s best memory bank. Of course, it’s not as simple as walking in and taking what you want. Not that I’ve tried that or anything, but it is a process that most SCAD students are familiar with. Simply go to your MySCAD and click on “student workspace.” Then on the right-hand side, you click the “student tool kit,” and click on” Atlanta web check out.” Next click on “Atlanta photo studio check out” and look for the exact resources you need to grow as a photographer.

Camera equipment and backdrops aren’t the only resources available however, Simpson also found it beneficial to utilize the lighting equipment and one of many photographer’s favorite light toys, light gels.
