Atlanta has such an exciting thrifting scene and has some incredible consignment and thrift stores. During my freshman year at SCAD, my roommate and I decided to venture out every Friday and find a new thrift store around us. Through this process, we found some absolute gems and I highly recommend you all check them out. Most of these locations have parking spots, but as a rule of thumb, we always called ahead and asked if they had parking available because many stores in Atlanta only have streetside parking. I have visited other thrift stores, but their pricing was too high for my taste in thrift stores, so the ones listed below are very affordable and cheap.

1. Buffalo Exchange

Buffalo Exchange has to be my favorite thrift store in Atlanta. It is located in the Ponce de Leon area and is in a complex next to Urban Outfitters. They have a vast collection of super trendy items. My favorite items they have are their jewelry and handbag collection. Their products are always in great condition and are usually gently used. They have fitting rooms for you to try on the items, they also do not use plastic bags but rather give you an opportunity to donate to a charity of your choice with the money they would have used to buy plastic bags. They also buy clothing from customers in exchange for money or store credit.

2. Buckhead Thriftique

This thrift store has the absolute best prices. Each type of clothing is all one price and they carry every size. I always get the best blazers and purses from there. However, the reason I love it so much is because of their home decor collection. I have a gallery wall in my room and I most of my vintage images and frames from this store at a super cheap price. Their collection is very curated and not overwhelming at all. They are in a location with a lot of parking and I highly recommend you all check them out. They also take donated clothes, if you want to clear out your closet.

3. Goodwill in Buckhead

Now I know you must be like why am I recommending this specific Goodwill, but they always have the best collection. This is located five minutes from the Buckhead Thriftique, so kill two birds with one stone. Their collection is largely clothes and I have found brand new pieces there. They carry a lot of trendy items and is set up so that it is not as overwhelming. They have parking available at the location. You can also donate your clothing to Goodwill if you want your old clothes to go towards a good cause.

4. Uptown Cheapskate

Uptown Cheapstake is a chain of thrift stores and has seven locations around the Atlanta area. They are a little expensive for thrift stores, but still very affordable. They get a lot of new products from stores around them, so you can get completely new products for half the price. They carry trendy pieces and everything is gently used. I love buying denim from here because of their large collection and sizing. Keep an eye out for sales because they have great discounts. They also buy clothing back for money or in-store credit. Visit uptowncheapskate.com for a complete list of all locations.

Let me know how you like these stores or if I need to go check some new thrift stores out! I love how popular thrifting has become and how much better it is for the environment. Thrifting has always given me very unique pieces that I would not find anywhere else.
