Jordan Ward brings positive vibes with EP ‘Remain Calm’
Jordan Ward brings a fresh sound that may remind some of that ’90s R&B love and heartbreak.
Ward’s EP “Remain Calm” was released in October with five songs: “Standards,” “Lil’ Baby Crush,” “Couscous,” “Thrive” and “Steph.”
“Remain Calm” might be the most relaxing EP I’ve heard, which I was not expecting. Whenever I hear the words “new R&B album,” I immediately get emotional as they are often tear-inducing.
But not with Ward. Instead, “Remain Calm” is a warm hug; Ward’s voice beautifully flows with the almost sultry beats and positive words. On top of that, there are visuals and music videos for “Thrive,” “Steph,” “Lil’ Baby Crush” and “Standards” that are just as peaceful as the songs themselves.
Many may recognize Ward from his dance career. He danced on stage for Justin Bieber in 2016 and has performed alongside Janet Jackson. Most notably, Ward was on stage with Beyonce in her documentary, “Homecoming,” for her Coachella performance that made the world stop. But now Ward makes music that soothes souls and is overall a talented artist on the rise.
