Capture your inner self with Kayne-inspired woebegone motion blurs
This week, I teamed up with Michelle Carmona, a fourth-year photography student, to re-imagine the “Ye inspired motion blurs” and create a more woebegone feel. The images are inspired by the deep-spirited version of ourselves that we hold dormant from the public. On the same note, many artists struggle with owning their truths, so they find traction in marginalizing themselves for society’s comfort. These images are to serve as the breakthrough of the subconscious and the awakening of the soul.
I find it important that there is an understanding of what artists experience mentally to the public. Creative work is demanding, difficult and initiates a level of stress that takes immense work to counteract. Directing this concept was quite an amazing experience in that the final results demonstrate the feeling of struggling to exist creativley while presuring the mold that stablizes your mental sanity.
This concept was inspired by Kanye West.
