It’s no secret that something as simple as changing the color value of the videos and photos you take can increase your overall value as a photographer, cinematographer or editor. Sometimes, however, it’s just easier to have a presets available so that you don’t have to go through that tedious post-process.

Adobe Lightroom does offer some options for creatives with their preset variations, however, that’s mainly an aspect used for post-editing. Using “presets” or filters during the photography stage is what simplifies the post process and allows your content to be ready to post in a more efficient way.

The most efficient presets I’ve found are all on Instagram. These filters below allow me to record with a very nice color grade and create the themes and mood I want without having to use Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and Premiere Rush.

  1. Dark Filter – @an.efva

2. Film VHS – @11.11.2023

3. Fish Eye@_f.m.g_18

4. Cine Blurred Face @4sokky

5. Black and White@dwxnted

If you get a chance to use any of these, be sure to tag the creator in case they repost it!
