If you’re a fan of the Netflix hit show “Stranger Things” and happen to be in Atlanta, you’re in luck! Be the hero of Hawkins, Indiana in an exclusive event organized by Netflix and Fever, Stranger Things: The Experience. Previously hosted in major cities such as New York in May, San Francisco in June and London in August, the ground-breaking experience is currently making a stop at Georgia’s very own Atlanta before coming to other cities later on in the year.

Hosted at Pullman Yards, start your story in the Stranger Things universe as candidates for a mysterious sleep study hosted at the infamous Hawkins Lab in 1986. Once you start your “experiment,” you’re immediately under the surveillance of suspicious and downright creepy scientists and doctors who assign you to different color groups. However, things do not go as planned in this exclusive new alternate universe storyline developed by the Duffer Brothers themselves when the staff at Hawkins Lab discovers that you have secret powers.

Along with your fellow candidates, you must work together to complete several tasks along with iconic characters such as Max, Eleven and Dustin to save not only yourselves, but the world from the evils of the Upside Down. With state-of-the-art audiovisual effects, feel yourself get immersed into the story in ways that you won’t expect!

“We know our Stranger Things fans will embrace the chance to be the heroes of the story, working alongside Eleven, Mike and the rest of the gang to fight the evil threatening to consume Hawkins,” says Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix. “Fans love losing themselves in the world when they watch the show. Now, for the first time, they will literally be able to live an episode from the series.”

After a scary face-off against Vecna and escaping from the Upside Down, fans will be able to explore Mix-Tape, an event space reminiscent of Hawkins’ Starcourt Mall, where they can interact and even help out real-life characters from Stranger Things.

Mix-Tape includes a variety of iconic places that Stranger Things fans will immediately recognize. You can get sundaes at ice cream parlor Scoops Ahoy, or check out exclusive Stranger Things merchandise at Family Video, establishments where dynamic duo Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley worked at over the course of the series. You can even try beating MADMAX’s high score at the palace arcade. In addition, there are a lot of great photo spots for some memorable photos. Just be wary of asking Mix-Tape employees to help you take photos with your phone because remember, it’s 1986, and you might have to explain to them what an iPhone is.

Opening starting from the 22nd of October, tickets start at $49 and can be bought on Fever, and the event is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on the weekends. Be sure to check out the official website for more information about the event and follow @strangerthings.experience on Instagram so you can be updated with the latest information.
