Scotch Tape has many uses that range from wrapping presents to removing lint from your clothes. Mark Jenkins, an installation artist has taken the sticky medium’s uses to a new level by creating unique sculptures currently on display at SCAD Atlanta.
Through the use of Foursquare, a social media platform, SCAD students had until Feb. 14 to acquire a total of 500 “check-ins” to secure a $10,000 student scholarship donation to the sculpture department.
Student response was overwhelming and by Feb. 8, SCAD students had “checked-in” more than 1,000 times.
The “Off the Roll” contest continues through Feb. 28, and participants can compete for a $5,000 cash prize. For more information on the contest and to view the work of other contestants click here.
