Recently I’ve really been wanting to expand my work, both the quality of it and the message behind it. I want to convey “blackness” in a different way.
I think that people have certain standards of what is black or a person of color, and if you don’t meet those standards you’re viewed as someone different or odd.
There is no wrong or right way to be black. I want to break those boundaries and convey “blackness” as something else.
