The Savannah College of Art and Design’s department of liberal arts announces its second annual Writers’ Assembly Wednesday, April 8, 7 p.m., at the Trustees Theater, 216 E. Broughton St., Savannah. SCAD School of Liberal Arts professors read their poetry, fiction, non-fiction and dramatic work. This year, the event will be simulcast in the Hub at SCAD-Atlanta.

The Writers’ Assembly is moderated by professor Kelly Lancaster and assembled by professor Stephen Geller. A question-and-answer session will follow the readings. The lineup features Geller, Adam Davies, Mary C. Kim, James Lough, Angela Merta, Dennis Randall, Lew Tate, John Valentine, George Williams and Weihua Zhang.

These award-winning screenwriters, poets, fiction and nonfiction authors from SCAD’s distinguished liberal arts faculty offer fresh selections from their latest work. The question-and-answer session will provide insight into the lives and inspirations of working writers.
