unkown soldier

A Sentinel guards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (at right) in Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C. The Tomb serves as a memorial for soldiers who died during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. The Tomb is under constant guard, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, rain or shine. An elaborate ceremony ensues every half hour during the summer months to change guards.
