It’s here yet again! SCAD Atlanta presents its 14th Annual Open Studio Night, this Friday 1st Nov. from 7pm to 9pm, and Saturday 2nd Nov., from 10am to 2pm. The event is free and open to the public and will be held at SCAD Atlanta’s main building. Refreshments are also included.

Not only do you get to enjoy viewing over 500 original works while listening to live entertainment, but you get to meet the artists and interact with art lovers, just like yourself. SCAD is proudly showcasing a wide selection of artwork, from Illustration, Painting, and Photography, to Printmaking and Sculpture.

After talking to a number of SCAD students, most if not all are planning to attend the event, and are quite excited to observe the art made by fellow SCAD students, faculty, and alumni.

“I look forward to the art and the people. You can meet so many artists who specialize in the different types of art,” Munirah Bint-Allah, an animation student, stated. She went on to say that “she enjoys looking at paintings,” as there is “something about [them] that is relaxing.”

Chelsea Henderson, a second-year photography student, proudly stated that her photography will be one of the 500 original works displayed at the event. She is looking “forward to [seeing] her art and the different people that will be attending.” When asked how she felt about her work being showcased, she said that “it seems very surreal and empowering to see that [she] goes to a school where the students’ art gets to be displayed on the walls, especially [hers.] It’s a proud moment.”
