MGM

“North by Northwest”

Friday, August 16
7 p.m.

It’s hard to go wrong with Hitchcock and this hit from 1959 is one of his most iconic works and for good reason. Cary Grant plays a man on the run, as a case of mistaken identity goes haywire, leading to a cross country chase that results in some of cinema’s most defining action sequences. Alfred Hitchcock’s direction is at some of its most ambitious, while Ernest Lehman’s screenplay remains daring, with a plot that continually engages, all complimented by a fantastic cast who give their all in telling one of the most gripping and suspenseful stories ever to hit the big screen.
