Earlier this month, Justin Bieber released the music video for “Ghost,” a single off his recent album “Justice.”

The video is sweet and heartfelt with an actual storyline — something I’m also excited to see. One of the significant parts of the video is the death before we flash forward two years later. The funeral, the reminiscing sadness that death brings is beautifully told in the video.

With the sweet lyrics and video, Bieber demonstrates that even if you lose someone, moving on is essential. At your pace, of course, but in the end, the dead are always there.

But in true Bieber fashion, the fans aren’t buying it; they are convinced that the song is about Selena Gomez. Some have even gone as far as thinking (tweeting) that Selena and Justin are back together.

As a fan myself, this narrative is tiring. The fact that the people are still stuck on Jelena when he is married is disrespectful to Haley Bieber. You know his wife. People need to move on — he has, and the music video for “Ghost” just enforces it.

But the video is adorable to watch if you’re on the sensitive side; you might even shed a couple of tears. Which is completely understandable. The lyrics and visuals are meant to pull at heartstrings — the little Justin Bieber has finally grown up.
