It is the time of year for fashion enthusiasts to unite at SCAD and learn from top fashion and design industry professionals. SCADstyle brings legendary icons to speak, answer questions and display their work for SCAD students and the public. For SCADstyle 2015, the events will take place from April 12-16. The SCAD Atlanta campus will have four main events all hosted at SCADshow.
The first event is on April 13 at 2:30 p.m. where Amy Smilovic will speak about her successful ready-to-wear line “Tibi” and how she has stayed on top of trends. On April 14 at 6 p.m., Neil Blumenthal will discuss the social impact of his company “Warby Parker”. The following day at the the same time there will be an interior design based panel featuring Tamara Kaye-Honey, “Room & Board’s” David Staten and “Dekar Design’s” Caroline Grant and Dolores Suarez. On April 16 at 6 p.m., Steven Alan will discuss his success in the world of fashion retail. Overall, students and outside guests will learn from top industry professionals about the ins-and-outs of how to enter and become successful in fashion and design.
