Being a college student can be tough, especially when trying to fund your education, keep up with classes, manage daily living expenses, balance a part-time job and to top it all off, having to figure out the exact career you want and how it can become a reality.

SCAD

This can be quite confusing and pretty overwhelming – where managing it all at once may not always be as successful as hoped.

Thankfully, SCAD has two upcoming workshops dealing with two stressful aspects of many students’ lives: student loans and moving off campus.

Roadmap to Repayment: Understanding Your Student Loans

At this workshop, students will be taught the basics of the student loan repayment process by taking a closer look at available repayment options, loan consolidation, grace periods and more.

Date: Friday, Jan. 31

Time: 2 – 3p.m.

Room: 208

Moving Off-Campus

At this workshop, students will be reviewing lease agreements, utility management, living with roommates and financial aspects to be considered when choosing to live off campus. Students will be taught what questions to ask and what to look out for, when making the decision of moving to an off-campus location.

Date: Friday, Jan. 31

Time: 3:30 – 4:30p.m.

Room: 208

One-on-one financial wellness appointments are available for students on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and Thursday, Jan. 30.
