As we are approaching a new wave in the COVID-19 pandemic and are steadily searching for local businesses to support, this black-owned vegan food and beverage provider is making its impact in Atlanta, GA. Superior Vegan Lyfe, better known as Superior Vegan, is currently making strides across the city for their thirst-quenching smoothies and succulent food options, such as the vegan Philly cheesesteak and vegan oxtails.

Albeit it seems easy to be a disrupter in the food industry when you serve unique cuisine, but for Superior Vegan, they’re not only touching the plates of local Atlantans, but also that of celebrity clients like Omorian, Jermaine Dupri, Damion Hall, The Lest Twins, Ms. Juicy Baby from “Little Women: Atlanta” and many more.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of trying their vegan Philly cheesesteak and vegan oxtails dish. There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to properly express how amazing the food is. The vegan Philly cheesesteak was cooked to perfection and dressed with peppers, mushrooms, vegan cheese, and, of course, their secret sauce. Then came the vegan oxtails. Understanding that oxtails are a cultural dish to many West Indians like myself, the ability to recreate the dish by using only vegan products is nothing less than astonishing. The oxtails were cooked with a variety of peppers and deep seasonings to evoke the profound meat-like-flavor that oxtails lovers enjoy.

Now, if you’re a foodie like me and wanting to try their vegan cuisine and beverages, you can find them on Instagram, @Superior_Vegan, or on Facebook by searching Superior VEGAN. You can also visit their website here: https://superiorvegan.us/.
