Netflix seems to never run out of new material, which is a good and overwhelming experience if you’re just trying to find something to watch on a Tuesday night. So here are some interesting shows, films, and documentaries that hit the app this October.

Netflix

1. “The Guilty”

Jake Gyllenhaal stars in what looks to be a very stressful (in a good way) remake called “The Guilty.” There’s some murder, abduction and mystery all in one morning. If you like s suspenseful, fast-paced drama, “The Guilty” may be your best bet.

Synopsis: “The Guilty” takes place throughout a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Baylor (Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger — but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out. (Netflix)

2. “You” season three

Season three of “You” is coming back to its fans on Oct. 15. I still haven’t dared to watch the show, so I will be watching soon if this season is the last. But I felt the need to include it on this list because the trailers look fascinating. I can see why people love it.

Synopsis: They’re just the nice, normal neighbors next door. (Netflix)

3. “Army of Thieves”

“Army of Thieves” has two of my favorite things: zombies and a heist. Need I say more? The Netflix movie is a prequel to “Army of the Dead,” Sometimes, the prequels are better than the original films. We won’t find out until Oct. 29, but let us be best prepared for a fun, action-packed ride of a movie.

Synopsis: In this prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, small-town bank teller Dieter gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe. (Netflix)

There are so many films, shows and documentaries coming to Netflix it can be hard to keep up. I hope this short list could save you from wasting your precious homework-free night on scrolling endlessly through titles.
