Atlanta has some of the best tourist destinations for everyone’s perfect city-escape vacation. It offers a variety of landmarks, restaurants, night clubs and even photo-centered destinations. Many photographers, tourists and creators look forward to finding an area to take photos that illustrates either a city view or captures lots of sunlight. Interestingly enough, I found a photo destination that exists both on-campus and off-campus to create those eerie and dramatic looks for your portfolio.

In 100 Midtown student apartment living, a dorm option for SCAD Atlanta residents, there is a restaurant on the first floor attached to the exterior street side of the building called Big Boss Chinese. Not only does this restaurant serve great food, but also a great atmosphere for photographers.

Of course asking the staff permission prior to shooting is always recommended, however, common patrons of the restaurant are typically remembered by the staff, so a grand tip would be to purchase food first and then ask to shoot.

Ilijah Simpson, a second year graphic design student submitted these photos for the photo destination of the week series.
