As students are making their way through the quarter, SCAD has prepared many events and opportunities that may be of interest to them. See the list below of just some of the events happening soon!
- Additional Student Relief Funds Available – Eligible students are now able to request additional student relief funding from SCAD. To request funding, complete the student relief application on the financial eForms page on MySCAD by 11:59 p.m. ET, Sunday, Feb. 27. According to SCAD, “priority consideration will be given to students exhibiting the greatest financial need who were enrolled at SCAD in the Fall 2021 and/or Winter 2022 quarters, and who did not previously receive funding from ARPA during the Summer 2021 quarter.” All applicants will receive a response by Friday, March 11. For any questions, student can contact their student success advisor.
- Virtual SCAD Career Fair – Friday, Feb. 25 from noon to 4 p.m. ET. Review this checklist to ensure you understand how to use Career Fair Plus. If you have technical questions during the event, visit the “SCAD Student Help Desk” in the employer list on Career Fair Plus or email support@careerfairplus.com.
- SCADExtra Immersive Writing: AV/VR and Beyond – Friday, February 25, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join SCAD writing alum and gaming professional Kat DeShields Moon to explore the latest in immersive storytelling. This event is virtual only. Register to attend.
- SCADExtra Fish In A Jungle: Embracing Your Brand With Confidence – Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Creative professionals often struggle with how to promote their abilities to audiences that aren’t creative. We’ll explore various strategies, approaches and tips for being authentic to your brand and marketing your abilities while making a contribution wherever you work … even if it’s not in agency.
