Kanika Arora at SCADshow

SCAD Alumnus Kanika Arora will be speaking at SCADshow on Monday to discuss “Ma.” Ma is a Japanese concept that deals with the space between two structural parts. Arora aims to rediscover the concept and better interpret it through architecture and interior design.

Celebrating the tenth year of this event, SCAD has multiple lineups for students to look forward to. The three-day event will feature gallery talks and exhibitions with artists of all kind. You can see a full list of events here.

SCAD Museum of Art Field Trip

Friday, March 1

This field trip happens every quarter and is free to students. To reserve a spot, you must email Stephanie MacFarlane by Wednesday, Feb 27. The busses would leave from 1600 Peachtree St. at 7:30 a.m. and will return 8 p.m. that same day. 

“Notting Hill” screening at SCADshow

Universal Pictures

7 p.m.

As part of SCADs Rom-Com series SCADshow will be screening the film “Notting Hill” featuring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. Watch two different worlds collide as a bookshop owner, Will Thacker (Grant), and Hollywood actress, Anna Scott (Roberts), fall in love. 

The event is free for SCAD students and a $5 charge for public. Shuttles will leave from 1600 Peachtree street before the event to drop off at the theater. The shuttles will be back to pick up and drop off back at the main building. 

“Sleepless in Seattle” screening at SCADshow

TriStar Pictures

7 p.m.

The last film this quarter for the Rom-Com series will be “Sleepless in Seattle” featuring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Follow the story of a widowed father, Sam Baldwin (Hanks), and reporter, Annie Reed (Ryan), falling for each other through a radio talk-show segment. 

The event is free for SCAD students and a $5 charge for public. Shuttles will leave from 1600 Peachtree street before the event to drop off at the theater. The shuttles will be back to pick up and drop off back at the main building.
