Calls for entry
“Designers in Residence” is directed to designers in the areas of jewelry, fashion, accessory, industrial and communication design as well as other design disciplines. Interdisciplinary project proposals are welcome. There will be three scholarships, and the three best applications will be considered. Scholarship holders will stay in Pforzheim from April 1, 2022 – June 30, 2022. For more information, see the link above. Submissions are due Monday, Nov. 15, 2021.
15th edition of the Sony World Photography Awards
“Designers in Residence” is providing a platform for photography students worldwide. The first prize is top Sony digital imaging equipment. See the brief in the link above for the 2022 student competition. Submissions are due Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.
SXSW Gaming Awards
The Gaming Awards are open for entry from August to December of each year. All entries must be completed titles released during that calendar year. Final nominees for each category will be publicly announced in February 2022 and all nominees will receive two SXSW Platinum Registrations to attend SXSW 2022. GI Film Festival San Diego
The 2022 juried festival takes place May 17-21 at the Museum of Photographic Arts in central San Diego and includes the Local Film Showcase, which features San Diego’s filmmakers, events, people, or places.
